“What an experience with Them to see Mongolia!! My mother, partner and I did the tour in July 2026 with Tengri and had nothing but an enjoyable and smooth experience. Our group was the only one on the tour which was nice feeling prioritized and personalized. We did the 9 day tour with a 3 day horse trek guided by Turo and organized by NJ. NJ was a great source of contact, she is very warm and welcoming and does everything to ensure the whole group and trip is comfortable! The guides and the coordination of your trip make you feel valued and well looked after, theres a good balance of having some time to yourself and some with the local nomadic family's and the guide. Turo was very accommodating, insightful with a wealth of Mongolian culture and history knowledge. Everything was provided for with our expense of about $1300 per person including meals, accommodations, transportation, and entrance fees. The tour wasnt rushed and felt mellow, we were able to slightly bend the plans to see some local festivals and Turo even squeezed in an extra day of horseback riding. Small souvenirs, extra food or snacks will cost extra which wasn't a problem, just bring some extra cash. The tour we took was best for scenery, hands on experiences and being immersed into the local nomadic culture. Saw local temples, drove off road, met the locals, rode horseback, saw and swam in lakes, saw the a waterfall, stayed in Ger's, participated in festivals, ate amazing food and even did a camel ride the last day!! If youre looking for the best value, helpful staff and a grand experience where you forget what day it is I highly recommend this agency! 10/10 experience with Them, it went well above and beyond our expectations! Thank you! We hope to be back again! 😁”
“Huge thank you for organizing and guiding one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Our point of contact, NJ, was an angel who was incredibly friendly and responsive. Being greeted at the airport by such a lovely person and taken to our accommodation set the tone for our whole trip. We were lucky enough to get Turo as our guide and his laid-back demeanor coupled with his knowledge/experience of Mongolia and its culture made the experience that much more meaningful. Our group was me & my partner, with his mother as well and we did the 8 day horse trek. Turo went above and beyond by giving us an extra day on the horse (4 days total) as well as flexing the plans so that we had the opportunity to see 3 authentic Mongolian festivals in addition to the original itinerary. The host families were all very welcoming, seeing their comfortability and enjoyment with Turo further proved that our tour was in great hands. Our appreciation towards NJ, Turo, and everyone cannot be overstated! We cant wait to be back one day😇🫶🏼”
“Henry, your main point of contact with them is a really nice guy, who is very helpful and does his best to give the most accurate information possible. We rented 2 self-drive 4x4s from the company and although we were not able to get ones with multiple differential locks and the fact that they were a little bit dated, they worked perfectly and did the job of getting us around perfectly, including off-road. We rented the vehicles for a longer rental period and Henry was kind enough to offer us, included in the price, roof tents on each vehicle. The daily rental price was $150 per day and he gave a discount for the second vehicle, which was very much appreciated by us. We sadly arrived in the country with the start of a major fuel crisis, but Henry did his best to help us as much as he could remotely. Included with the vehicles was basic camping gear, a tool box, a towing strap, a reserve jerry-can for each vehicle and one spare tyre per vehicle. Furthermore, Henry also offered included in the price 2 data SIM cards, each with a different network provider, so that we maximised our chances of being connected, especially in the more remote parts of the country. This was also very much appreciated. We had a great time discovering on our own the beautiful and magnificent country of Mongolia thanks to these 4x4s. We really recommend that you contact They if you want to explore Mongolia alone and at your own pace. Henry will try his best to find the best solution for you.”
“I went to Mongolia because I really want to ride a horse (but I'm a beginner). The goal is to run across the great plains on a horse. I was looking for something that didn't require any other sightseeing. I was having trouble finding a local tour that matched my itinerary, but the They company arranged it exactly as I wanted, and the 5-night, 6-day stay with homestays in a ger and riding horses was a wonderful holiday. There were many other things that were good, but they was so cheap (intuitively half the price of others) that it made me worry, but looking back now, I think unnecessary things were properly omitted. Actually, I was worried about the matter until I went, but once I went, there was such thorough support that there was no problem at all. Since this is my first time in a glamping experience and horseback riding, is five nights too long? Regarding that point, Tengri said, "If you want to shorten it, just contact me locally, and I'll make it 4 nights and refund the money!" I'm really helped by that flexibility. Actually, even though it was 5 nights and 6 days, it went by in a flash. I was relieved that the payment was in USD locally, and since the support on WhatsApp was always prompt, my trip went very smoothly. Especially for people who want to ride a horse alone and enjoy real nomadic life in the Olkhon Valley, I highly recommend it. The hosts, Toggi and Seggi, were amazing, and I had a memorable trip. I want to go again!”
“An Unforgettable Adventure with a Fantastic Team! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our trip with Them was absolutely incredible, and I loved every single minute of it! Mongolia features some of the most stunning, diverse landscapes you will ever see—stretching seamlessly from rolling sand dunes and lush grasslands to dramatic mountains and pristine lakes. The team made the experience truly special. Our operator, Henry, was extremely communicative and prompt with his responses from day one. Our travel guide, Boogi, was exceptionally friendly, supportive, and caring. She looked out for us constantly and shared a wealth of knowledge about Mongolian history and the places we visited. She was incredibly kind and thoughtful, and she consistently chose excellent restaurants where the food was always delicious! Our driver was also highly skilled, navigating the terrain seamlessly and making the long drives feel incredibly smooth. To top it off, every local family we stayed with was incredibly welcoming and warm. The only small constructive feedback I would offer is that it would be incredibly helpful to receive a recommended packing list prior to the trip. Items like a personal towel, a warm sleeping bag for cold nights, soap, and other yurt essentials are easy to forget if you haven't stayed in a ger before. Aside from that, it was a perfect trip. I highly recommend Them!”
“This was genuinely the best trip I’ve ever been on, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. From the very beginning, communication with Henry/Badrakh, the owner of the company, was excellent. He always responded promptly and answered any questions I had before my mate and I arrived in Mongolia. I had some issues trying to send the deposit through Wise, and he was trusting enough to allow me to bring the full payment in cash when we arrived instead, which I really appreciated. We also had some great conversations with him during our time there, genuinely a great guy. Our tour guide was Tuuya and our driver was Joloh, and both of them were absolutely brilliant. They were incredibly friendly, easy going and good fun to be around. Considering how much time you spend together over a two week tour, the people you travel with can make or break the experience, and they honestly helped make ours unforgettable. We spent a lot of the trip laughing and joking together, while Tuuya was also brilliant at teaching us about Mongolia, its history, culture and traditions. Learning more about subjects like them while actually travelling through the country made the whole experience much more meaningful. The itinerary itself was really well balanced. There was plenty of sightseeing and physical activity without the trip ever feeling rushed. Anyone considering a tour like this should be aware that Mongolia is enormous, so on some days you may spend around 5–7 hours driving. Personally, I never found this boring. The landscapes are absolutely breathtaking and seem to constantly change as you travel across the country, so even the journeys between destinations became part of the experience. The food throughout the trip was also great. We had a mixture of home cooked Mongolian meals and food at restaurants along the route, and we were always well looked after. One of the biggest highlights for us was the accommodation and the opportunity to stay with nomadic families. We specifically wanted something that felt authentic rather than spending the entire trip moving between tourist camps, and They delivered exactly that. Staying alongside local families, seeing how people actually live and experiencing Mongolian hospitality firsthand was something I’ll never forget. Henry/Badrakh also went above and beyond by arranging a free additional day for us to visit the Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex and the nearby national park. Our driver for that day, Tom, was fantastic as well. He was really knowledgeable, informative and great company throughout the day and, somehow, an absolute belter of a cameraman too! He got some brilliant photos of us and made what was already a generous extra day even more memorable. More than anything, Mongolia was an amazing learning experience. The landscapes are spectacular, but getting to learn about Mongolian history, traditions, religion and modern life from the people we travelled and stayed with made the experience much deeper than simply visiting tourist attractions. For anyone planning a similar tour, I would also strongly recommend spending a few additional days in Ulaanbaatar before and/or after your trip. I think the capital deserves more time than people sometimes give it, and personally I’d suggest around 3–5 days if your schedule allows. Overall, an unforgettable experience and easily the best trip of my life. Massive thanks to Henry/Badrakh, Tuuya, Joloh and Tom for making it what it was. If you’re considering travelling around Mongolia and want an authentic experience with genuinely great people, I’d absolutely recommend Them.”
