“Also want to mention Chuka. Lots of things went awry on the rough roads. His car took a beating but he always maintained a positive attitude. Although he couldn’t speak any English, he was super easy to get along with. The guy is so social with everyone we bumped into on trip. It was great to have him as our driver. ”
“I was the traveler who was picked up outside Kharkhorin and decided to join the tour. I just wanted to say thank you, especially to Mugi, for leading the trip. She was incredibly accommodating, easygoing, and adaptable throughout the journey. She always did her best to accommodate everyone’s requests and adjusted plans when needed to suit the constantly changing conditions on the ground. Travel can be unpredictable and having someone who is flexible and solutions oriented makes all the difference. I really appreciated all of her efforts and I had an amazing time on this trip. “We just had one of our best trip ever in Mongolia! The tour operator ( Enkhjin) is a reliable person and very accommodating . We made a mistake in our dates and she had to reschedule all our plans at the last minute . At the end everything worked out pretty well! The driver and the guide are very knowledgeable people. We learnt a lot about the history of the country, visited many important historical places and had so much fun with them! It looks like the driver would never get lost in all these off roads and always knew where to go( incredible to us) . We stayed with families and even , if we didn’t understand the language, we felt all the times very welcome. We hiked, we rode horses and camels, we had lunches in beautiful spots in the forest, next to a river and so on… There are no words to describe the immensity of the landscape and of the herds( goats, sheeps, cows, yaks) roaming in the steppes. We were very lucky with the weather, very sunny and warm during the day, colder during the night. Anyway I would recommend everyone who wants to go to Mongolia to use this tour operator! “We did the 10-day tour with Them and we had the most amazing experience! First of all, it was very easy to communicate and coordinate with Badrakh prior to the trip, so we were clear about expectations, what we needed to prepare, and how the trip would go. We went in the spring, and while the weather changes could be quite extreme (sand storm, snow, freezing temps), we followed the itinerary as laid out on the website, with slight changes to suit our preferences. Badrakh was very easy to talk to, and responded immediately to our questions and requests. It was apparent he wanted to make sure we had a wonderful trip in his country. He even included airport pick-up and drop off, and an additional day going around UB for free! Our guide, Byambaa, and our driver, Jotlo, also took amazing care of us in the 10 days that we travelled around central, southern, and western Mongolia. Most of the trip was spent in the car driving off-road, and we always felt safe in Jotlo's hands. Byambaa always provided interesting explanations and insights about the history of Mongolia, Mongolian culture, and present-day Mongolia as well. She is a fantastic cook, too, and ensured a great variety of meals, although we also appreciated having excellent quality Mongolian lamb in every meal. We also appreciated how Byambaa arranged for a seasoned horse fiddle and throat singing musician to put on a private concert for us in Kharakhorin on our last night. Our 10-day journey was a gateway to the authentic lives of Mongolian families. From staying in the nomadic gers and sharing meals with the families to observing and interacting with their animal herds, every moment was a unique cultural immersion. The genuine warmth and hospitality extended to our guide and driver by the host families spoke volumes about the deep connections Them fosters. This is an experience we highly recommend for those seeking a truly unforgettable adventure.”
“We had a very impressive and exciting time in Mongolia on our 14-day tour, which Henry put together according to our wishes. The preliminary discussion and communication with Henry was always smooth and courteous. Henry was always available for us, even when we were on the road. He is a committed and upbeat organizer whom we are happy to recommend. The tour includes a wide range of accommodation from family gers to tourist camps. There is something for every taste. A prior arrangement with Henry makes it possible to get to know the Mongolian culture in the Gers and to enjoy a hot shower in between.”
“I did a 21 day tour, from the Gobi to the Northern Tiaga. Bat badrach (I probably butchered the spelling, he just says to call him Henry) held my hand for months setting up this Solo tour. He arranged the best possible driver and guide, and allowed me to customize the itinerary based on my interests. Not for wimps, but it was probably one of the biggest adventures of my life. I saw other travelers with other companies that were stranded with no English-speaking guides, others that had several different guides over a short period of time. I had the same Guide and driver for the entire time and it made life so much better. I preferred less populated and quieter camps, and they made an effort to seek them out. Felt like family by the time we separated. Very reasonable price. Do not skip the reindeer valley. Absolutely do it.”
